‘Like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not whither; whatever they do prospers. ’ Psalms 1:3
Emotional wellbeing in School
As a school we know and value that children's basic needs need to be met before we can consider meeting their other needs, as evidenced through Maslow's Hierarchy of needs. To this end, we have, what we consider to be, a comprehensive support package in place to ensure that we are meeting our children's emotional needs, before we start working on their academic needs. This is really important to us as if the children are struggling emotional, the likelihood of them being able to 'Enjoy, achieve and aspire' is considerably less.
